Dear Students and Parents,
I trust everyone is doing well 🙂
We have resumed classes this week. In the next couple of weeks I will send out an exam paper for you to do on the content we have covered over the last month. Please start revising now!
Units 1/2
We will begin a new class next week for students studying Electricity. The Sunday 8:30pm will continue with Kinematics (motion).
All students will get a question paper on motion, as we have all been studying this topic lately.
Units 3/4
In the previous years I have run 2 classes from the beginning of the year for Units 3/4. This year I changed it around to begin the 2nd class towards the end of the year to make it more affordable for parents, and because it helps us prepare better for Final Exams.
The extra class will focus on Special Relativity while the primary class continues with quantum physics (light and matter). I want students to learn these topics well, as most schools rush through them and they still account for the entirety of Unit 4.
This class will be discounted to $50 each with no class-cap. Following a recent poll, Monday 5pm seems to be the time that suits most students. Please complete the poll on our Whatsapp group and I will confirm the time of the class shortly.
I would like all Unit 3/4 students to attend this (so that everyone can finish the study design early and focus on revision). If you have difficulty in financing this class, please speak to me.
Unit 4 Video Shorts Course
I am excited to announce that new videos for Unit 4 are almost ready. Designed from 5 years of student feedback, this course is a quick-revision tool for busy VCE Physics students. Each topic is distilled into a clear, unrushed 5-minute lesson, making complex concepts easy to grasp.
Having recently found that the average Physics Study Scores of Learn Physics students are higher than published average results of expensive private and selective schools, I am also trying to make the entire course less than the fee of 1 tuition class to make it widely accessible to students. Most of Unit 3 is also complete and will be included for free.
Here is a sneak peak showcasing the different formats used – any feedback is appreciated!
Format 1 – Hand-drawn explainer videos
Format 2 – Video lectures
If anyone has a SAC coming up on Unit 4, or want early access please reach out and I will give you access.
