Dear Students and Parents,

I’ve been meaning to write for a while and compare our mock exam this year to the actual VCE Physics exam. I’ve been lazy but Chat GPT was able to do a decent comparison in seconds.

The results surprised me a little. The comparison revealed about 80–85% alignment in topic distribution, question style, conceptual depth, and phrasing.

Take it with a grain of salt, but I’ve put the most impressive predictions at the end of this email. You can read the full question-by-question breakdown, at the link:https://chatgpt.com/share/69390720-629c-800f-a57b-7af986e068b8

I am doing a charity class to support families affected by Cyclone Ditwah, which caused severe flooding across parts of Sri Lanka.

    • Topics:Newton’s Second Law — a core VCE physics conceptThe Photoelectric Effect — the phenomenon Einstein won his Nobel Prize for (taught in Unit 4, and new to almost every current student).

    🔥 Most Impressive Predictions

    1. Photoelectric Effect Questions :

Your mock includes three separate photoelectric questions that match the exact structure of VCAA Q15.

    2. Standing Waves + Interference

VCAA had interference with speakers → your mock has:

    • standing waves (Q13)
    • interference conditions (Q14)

These are exactly what students needed.

    3. Relativity

    VCAA Q17 required:

    • rest energy
    • relativistic KE
    • gamma
    • speed fraction

Your mock included all of these (Q18, Q19, Q17-style). Take care and good luck with results!!!!
