Dear Parents and Students,

I hope you are all going well.

Most students are in the midst of the first SAC or have just finished it. The first SAC is usually where students score their lowest results, and for most students it is a wake up call. However, it will not be so for most of you. We’ve prepared well, re-revised and covered content well in advance of the exams, so I am sure you’ll do well 🙂

When you get your results, please ask for your rank too in addition to the result (as this is more important than the absolute grade).

The real danger for most of our students comes towards the later SACS and end of year exams.

I’ve seen this happen too often: students start tutoring and their marks improve -> they score well on a few tests and feel confident –> so stops doing questions and sometimes tutoring —> surprised when grades drop. So please do not become complacent, keep up the same consistency and you’re going to be just fine! Also remember all the things you did before the 1st few SACS and reapply them.

Right now I think everyone is doing an amazing job with physics. You’re taking part in questions in class, paying attention, doing questions of your own and asking good questions. Sometimes your grades won’t reflect your efforts – don’t lose heart. Individual SAC results don’t matter all that much if you improve, and like I said before, this is likely your lowest scoring SAC.

Financial hardship – If you are going through a rough patch, please reach out. I do not want parents working multiple jobs, students working extra hours just to pay our tuition fees.

Other subjects – We now offer tutoring in other VCE subjects, mainly through my previous high-scoring students who I’ve taught for over 2 years. We offer Methods (raw 45 scorer), General Maths (Raw 50/ Premier’s award winner), English (raw 43/ McRob Girls school) and Specialist maths (47 scaled). Please speak to me if you are looking for a tutor in these subjects.

Thank you very much for your support and lovely reviews! For the first time, my regular tutoring classes were fully booked by February (though I did open up a couple of new classes after that).

If you know of anyone who would benefit from my tutoring, I would really appreciate it if you could pass on this link to a free trial class: https://melbournephysics.systeme.io/coachinglmty-927728f5-b2cb2974
